What is S2C?
Empowering Non-Speaking Individuals Through S2C
Spelling to Communicate (S2C) is a way for nonspeaking, minimally speaking, or unreliably speaking individuals to get their thoughts out by pointing to letters on a letterboard.

A lot of people assume if someone doesn’t speak, they don’t understand, but that’s just not true. For many nonspeakers, the issue isn’t thinking or understanding, it’s motor control — their body doesn’t always do what they want it to do, especially when it comes to speech.

S2C helps them learn to control their movement so they can point to letters, spell words, and start communicating what’s actually on their mind.

It’s not always easy, it takes time, practice, and support, but I’ve seen it open up whole new worlds for individuals and their families.

At the heart of it, S2C is about connection. It's about giving people a way to be heard, maybe for the first time.
